Our Pastor
Pastor James W. Faggins is a powerful man of God who with grace, commitment and passion serves the Bethel Pentecostal Church. He has served as President of the National Youth Convention for the Mt. Sinai Holy Church of America Incorporated from 2004-2007. He also served as Vice President of the NYC from 2001-2004. He currently serves as the Finance Committee Chairperson for the Pennsylvania/New Jersey District and he serves on the National Finance Committee for MSHCA. He serves on the Site Committee for the PA/NJ District and he is a member of the Board of Presbyters for MSHCA. Elder Faggins also serves on the National Young People’s Department for MSHCA. Prior to accepting the pastorate at Wildwood Pentecostal Church, Elder Faggins was a member of Mount Olive Holy Temple in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania where his pastor was Bishop Thomas J. Martin, Jr. Under his leadership, he served as Associate Minister, President of Ministers Board, Deacon, Youth Leader and Praise & Worship Leader. Elder Faggins is blessed to have served under the leadership of the late Bishop Sylvester Webb (former Pastor), the late Bishop Amy B. Stevens (former Pastor and President of MSHCA) and the late Bishop D. Elaine Harris (former Presiding Prelate of the PA/NJ District of MSHCA). He attributes his spiritual development to their teaching, guidance and unwavering faith.
Elder Faggins is a native of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. He is a graduate of Benjamin Franklin High School and he attended Philadelphia Community College, where he majored in Accounting. He has been employed by the Southeastern Pennsylvania Transit Authority (SEPTA) as a Trolley/Bus Driver for 29 years. In July 2018, Elder Faggins retired from SEPTA with 31 years of service.
Elder Faggins has been married to his beautiful wife, Elder Tonya Faggins for 23 years. Together they believe that we as believers should “…walk worthy of the vocation wherewith ye are called, with all lowliness and meekness, with longsuffering, forbearing one another in love; endeavoring to keep the unity of the Spirit in the bond of peace. There is one body, and one Spirit, even as ye are called in one hope of your calling; one Lord, one faith, one baptism, one God and Father of all, who is above all, and through all, and in you all (Ephesians 4:1-6).”
